About

Information technology student, web developer and SEO specialist.

I study Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Asia Pacific College, graduating in 2029, and I spend my evenings building business websites and making them findable. Half the job is the build; the other half is the technical SEO that decides whether anyone reaches it at all. The coursework and the production work feed each other: database normalisation from coursework shows up in how I structure content, and production deadlines show up in how I plan a school project.

What I actually use

Grouped by how confident I am, not by how impressive it looks. The last group is honest about where I am still learning.

How that shows up

Most of my work is the unglamorous half of a website: making a template that someone else can fill in, making a layout hold at 360 pixels, and making sure the text is still readable when a client pastes in twice as much as expected.

The other unglamorous half is search. Writing JSON-LD so a page declares what it is instead of hoping a crawler infers it, auditing slugs before a rename quietly breaks every inbound link, and collapsing redirect chains back to one hop. None of it is visible in a screenshot. All of it decides whether the page is found, and, increasingly, whether an AI assistant can quote it accurately or has to guess.

The coursework side gives me the vocabulary for it. Learning information architecture formally changed how I argue for a structure. I can now test a menu with real people and show why a label got removed, instead of saying it felt cleaner.
